Craig Reynolds, a longtime lottery player, prefers to check his tickets periodically.
Recently, Reynolds pulled out his phone and was working his way through a stack of tickets that had been building up over the month, New Jersey Lottery officials said.

Mall Fire Spurs South Jersey Homeschool Association's Likely Move, Campaign Says
A fire at the Voorhees Town Center on Friday, April 19, has prompted the South Jersey Homeschool Association to look for a new home, according to a campaign devoted to the cause.
The association estimates it needs $60,000 to clean up soot and smoke damage, replace unusable items, for legal costs and to secure a new location pending negotiations with the landlord.
"The fire was contained to the food court area, but soot coverage has affected the entire mall, including our facility," the association said on a GoFundMe page.

Leesburg Man Splits VA Lottery Ticket With Another Winner
Sharing is caring for two Virginia men, each $122,500 richer before taxes.
Darrell Terry, of South Boston, and Lou Malfi, of Leesburg, won the tickets in the Cash 5 on Feb. 28, with EZ Match drawing.
Terry bought his winning ticket at Blue Ridge Tobacco & Candle, located at 1024 Bill Tuck Highway in South Boston while Malfi bought his online using the VA Lottery app.
The jackpot for that drawing was $245,000, which means Terry and Malfi each received $122,500 before taxes. The winning numbers for that drawing were 1-6-14-21-27.

Agent Sells Phony Insurance Policy To Shirley Victim, Police Say
An insurance agent on Long Island is accused of selling a man a bogus policy, and police believe there could be additional victims.
Joseph Cawley, age 37, was arrested at his Ridge home on Monday, April 29, following an investigation by Suffolk County Police.
According to investigators, a Shirley man reached out to the agency saying he had paid Cawley for an auto insurance policy on Saturday, March 16, but never received any identification cards for the policy.
In all, the man paid more than $1,550 for a policy that did not exist.
